2012 Golden Rose Stakes – 13 Nominations

September 10th, 2012

Nominations have been released for the Group 1 Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse this Saturday September 15, 2012.

A total of 13 horses have been nominated for the 2012 Golden Rose Stakes, including Dear Demi.

The three-year-old won her last start in the Group 2 Furious Stakes at Warwick Farm Racecourse by almost a length in front of Meidung and Jade Marauder.

The Dehere filly will be having her third start of the spring in the 2012 Golden Rose Stakes.

It will be Dear Demi’s second attempt at Group 1 glory, with her first resulting in a second placing behind Pierro in the Champagne Stakes in April.

Dear Demi has won three of her 10 race starts and has earned more than $350,000 in prize money.

Also included in the 2012 Golden Rose Stakes is All Too Hard, who has had the race in his sights since the autumn.

All Too Hard will be out to turn his spring luck around in the 2012 Golden Rose Stakes after failing to win either of his starts this preparation.

The Casino Prince colt finished third in the Group 3 San Domenico Stakes first-up, before placing fifth of six runners in the Group 3 The Run To The Rose last start.

All Too Hard has won three of his six race starts and has earned more than $430,000 in prize money.

Nechita will also be looking to continue her flawless career with a 2012 Golden Rose Stakes early in her racing career.

The Fastnet Rock filly has won both her two race starts, with her most recent being in the Group 3 Silver Shadow Stakes on August 25, 2012.

On that occasion Nechita decimated the field by almost two lengths.

Amorino, Doubtfilly and Kabayan are also included in the 2012 Golden Rose Stakes nominations.
